Celebrating Mohawk College's National Success in Applied Research and Innovation

Mohawk College and IDEAWORKS have been recognized among Canada’s top research institutions, ranking 2nd in Re$earch Infosource’s 2025 list of the Top 50 Research Colleges.

This distinction reflects Mohawk’s leadership in applied research, industry collaboration, and skills development.

Mohawk continues to demonstrate strong performance across key indicators, ranking 1st in Canada for research income among large colleges and has engaged 192 partners across multiple sectors. In the past year, 244 student researchers gained hands-on experience, supporting workforce readiness and innovation capacity. These achievements strengthen Hamilton’s position as a centre for research and applied innovation.

Through its research ecosystem, Mohawk contributes to product development, industry competitiveness, and community-focused problem solving, reinforcing Hamilton's reputation as a hub for collaboration and talent development.
